Lucas Njo, M.D.

Dr. Lucas Njo

Dr. Njo is board certified in Pain Medicine, Anesthesiology, and Internal Medicine.

Prior to Pain Specialists of Texas, Dr. Njo was Associate Professor in Anesthesiology and Pain Management at University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas and staff anesthesiologist and pain management physician at the Dallas Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Dr. Njo completed his medical school at Temple University, located in Philadelphia, PA. Subsequent Internal Medicine training at Brown University system in Rhode Island was followed with Anesthesiology residency at University of Connecticut.

Dr. Njo is interested in chronic back pain and sympathetically mediated pain.

 

Seval Gunes, M.D.

Dr. Seval Gunes

Dr. Gunes  is board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Management.

He has been a staff anesthesiologist and pain specialist at the VA Medical Center in Dallas with an academic appointment as Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas.

After graduating from the University of Heidelberg Medical School in Heidelberg - Germany in 1989 Dr. Gunes was in surgical residency training for 4 1/2 years at the German Heart Institute in Munich and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Following anesthesiology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas in 1997 he completed a fellowship in Pain Management at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

His special interests are low back and neck pain, cancer-related pain, vertebroplasty/kyphoplasty and implantable devices.
